A slight delay.....

In the San Diego Comic Con wrap-up (and it was a Hell of a show), due to this little guy...

not feeling good, and a flying trip to the vet and trying to give him medicine and whatnot. Let that be today's lesson; don't every make you're plans too tight,baby, you never know when life is gonna throw something at you!

When your heroes turn out to be dicks

So this week, this happened:
Roddy Piper vs Steve Austin
-Honestly, I don't really believe Steve Austin. I think he DID ask for Piper to be taken off Podcast one, and he's just trying to save face. But, what REALLY pissed me off was this:
Piper looses Legends deal
-Really? Austin had to take it to this level? Now, I realize anyone reading this might think that my love for Roddy Piper is clouding my judgement. Not so. Do I think Piper is 100% innocent? No. I mean, c'mon, it's Roddy Piper. Shooting his mouth off is what MADE his career! In my opinion, the very LEAST he should've done was sent the show to Austin before he send it to Podcast One to be uploaded to their feed to get some kind of approval from Austin. It's just professional courtesy. But, this is in NO WAY shape or form a reason to pull Piper's Legends deal. So, to the point of this article, what DOES happen when someone you've admired turns out to be a dick. I've met LOTS of comic creators, wrestlers, and actors over the years at the hundreds of conventions that I've been to, and yes, some of them have turned out to be HUGE dicks. Was I disappointing? Sure. But, it's taught  me one thing over the years; they're only human. What you see on TV is entertainment. It's them being someone that they're not. So, you have to take these things with a grain of salt. Now, on the flip side, a great many people that I've met over the years are incredibly nice. They took the time to answer questions, sign autographs, take pictures, you name it. What the hell am I saying? What's the point to all this? The point is, when you look up to anyone but yourself, there's a good chance you're gonna get disappointed. So, maybe YOU should be the person in your life that you look up to. That way, you'll never be let down.
-Back to Roddy Piper. Since he's not getting any more money from WWE, I encourage you, if you're a fan of his to visit his site and buy something. You can do that here. He's got TONS of awesome stuff. Everything from t-shirts to soda pop to yes, I'm not kidding, BUBBLE GUM! Hot Girl Wednesday starring...RAVEN BAY!!!!!!

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a sucker for blondes, but this girl is the exception to that rule. I first met Raven Bay at Exxxotica in 2012. She was just starting out, and boy has she gone places in the last 3 years! From just breaking into the business to full out SUPERSTAR!!!! It's easy to see why:

San Diego wins, I loose!

-A couple of days ago, I foolishly promised some SDCC coverage every day. That was before the internet started vomiting announcements every 10 minutes. So......yeah. My 2015 SDCC Wishlist!!!

Yes, it's that time again. Time for the San Diego Comic Con!!! Each year.........wait, you know what it is, why should I explain it to you? Every year I do my wishlist of announcements, comic and otherwise, that I HOPE get announced at the show. Some years, I get lucky and a couple of them get announced, sometimes I get zero. Here's hoping this year, I get at least 1. So, here we go......

5) Jonny Quest!

-One of the most characters that's SO overdue for a new comic is Jonny Quest. He's also due for a new cartoon, toys, a live action movie, ect. but we won't get into that. He actually just appeared in an issue of Scooby-Doo Team-Up, and while that was awesome, I want an ongoing, monthly "serious" comic.
4)Big Trouble in Little China Toys!

Yes, we got these Reaction figures from Funko, and they're awesome, but I want some awesome, articulated 6" figures from NECA. Because you can never have enough Big Trouble in Little China stuff.
3) MASK!!

I don't care if it's comics or toys, actually, I want BOTH! But I need some new MASK stuff. If you don't know what MASK is, it's like GI Joe and Transformers had a baby. And it had the most AWESOME theme song of any cartoon EVER!!

2)FLASH GORDON!

Yes, we've had a series of mini-series from Dynamite, and they've all been pretty great, but I'd like an honest to God ongoing series. Is that too much to ask? I hope not.

1)INDIANA JONES!!!

To say Marvel hit a home run with the Star Wars comics would be putting it mildly. I believe the same thing could be done for Indiana Jones. I'm sure they're waiting for the next movie, but why? Through Disney, they own all the likeness right, so just go ahead and do it all ready!!!

Hot Girl Wednesday starring.....Ramona Flour!!!!

If you haven't heard of Ramona Flour, that's a shame. BUT, you're about to get to know her a tiny bit here and you'll also be hearing more about her in the future, as her star is shining bring and for this girl, the sky's the limit!! I'll admit, this one ALMOST didn't happen. Of ALL the girls that have been the focus of hot girl Wednesday (I should start counting), Ms. Flour was THE hardest to find CLOTHED pictures of. That's a problem I wish I had more often.

Stunning, isn't she? Let me asure you, the outside matches the inside. She's one of THE nicest girls I've ever met. Sweet as pie, humble and genuinely interesting to talk to. Aw Heeeeeeeeeeeell No!

Today, the news leaked out, and I mean ALL THE NEWS leaked out, of the  Marvel Comics titles line-up post Secret Wars. Some of them were expected, some of them were surprises, others were plain out head-scratchers. Case in point, this book:

Um, what? There's only ONE Spaceknight, and it sure isn't Venom. You know who he is:

I'll be honest, I'll try the book just to see if it in anyway connects to the original Rom: Spaceknight, but I doubt it will. We can hope, at least.
-But, IF there's a Rom-shaped hole in your life, and let's be honest-there is, you're in luck! TODAY IDW Publishing brings us ONYX!!!! Now, this is NOT a Rom copycat, far from it, but there are enough similarities to make you happy. Also, it's a fucking AWESOME comic!
