KITT, Mark Waid and a Fashion Model walk into a bar.....

I don't know what the rest of the joke is, but I bet if I had more time I could actually come up with one. This is going out tonight, because I won't have time tomorrow, but I wanted to let you know about 3 comic hitting tomorrow that you should REALLY buy. You can get lost in Secret Wars and Convergence, but at least grab these and give them a look-through.
Scarlett Couture #2: Des Taylor is on a roll! Two AWESOME issues in a row! It's got everything that made the first one great; action, spies, gorgeous women, an intriguing story, I could go on and on.
Justice Inc: The Avenger #1: Dynamite + Mark Waid + Ronilson Freire = Another great pulp title! I'll be honest, I hadn't even really heard of The Avenger before, but after reading this, I can't wait to find out more about him. Fantastic book!

Yeah, I know. You're thinking "Good God, here's Jimmy with another 80's TV show comic!", but here me out. This is REALLY GOOD!!!! This is most definitely NOT the Knight Rider that I grew up with, it's 180 degrees in the other direction, and that's what makes it good. Everything is totally unexpected, new and fresh. Yet, there's enough their to get across what made the original show so appealing in the first place.

-There you go! Make sure and give these a look tomorrow. Also, anyone going to San Diego? I NEED this figure!!!!

The top 10 shows that NEED to be on the Marvel/Star Wars channel

Revealed at a recent investors conference call, Disney CEO suggested that there might be a Disney Marvel or Star Wars streaming channel in the near future. He's his quote directly:

"We have said that with these channels and these brands — ESPN, ABC, Disney, maybe even down the road something related to Star Wars and Marvel — we do have an ability as a company to take product, specifically filmed entertainment, television, movies, directly to consumers."

Most of us knew that this was just a matter of time, and something that a lot of HOPED for. The only thing that makes me a little concerned is what the content of those channels might feature. I mean, I LOVE the current Marvel cinematic universe, but it would be cool to have something from before these movies debuted. In fact, I think it would be really important to. As far as a Star Wars channel-YIKES! Yes, there's 6 movies, soon to be 7, The Clone Wars cartoon, Rebels, and....um.... some stuff from 30 years ago. Is there enough content for a Star Wars channel? Yes, Disney will have TONS of people subscribe because it's Star Wars, but if every time I turn it on, Attack of the Clones is on, I'm not turning it on very often. So, here's the top 5; Marvel shows and the top 5 Star Wars shows that I want to see on each channel, that probably won't be (naturally, this list does NOT include new content created for the either network). Let's start with Star Wars:

5)Star Wars: The Clone Wars:
No, not the one that went on for 6 seasons, the micro-series from cartoon network that was INCREDIBLE!!

4)Documentaries
Again, there's not a lot of Star Wars TV or movies, but there's been a TON of documentaries made, both official and unofficial about the movies. Here's one that I love watching:

3)Indiana Jones
YOU HEARD ME!

2)Ewoks
My second favorite Star Wars cartoon! Hey, it was 1985 and we were DYING for more Star Wars. So, when this came along, anyone who was a Star Wars fan watched no matter what, and some of us were pleasently surprised. Overly sweet? Sure. But, it was the 80's. And it was Star Wars.

1)Droids
The BEST Star Wars cartoon EVER!!!! OK, maybe just in my opinion, but whatever. Before the Prequels were even a thought, THESE were the adventures of C-3PO and R2-D2 before they met up with the Rebellion. Weird, crazy and awesomely fun and hey, Boba Fett even shows up!

Marvel has a bit more to play with. They've had stuff on TV pretty much since the 1960s. Here's the top 5 shows that I want to see streaming on that network:

5)The Thing
I have no clue why this show is even called "The Thing", but it's great in a really cheesy way:

4)The Marvel TV movies
Oh man, these were so bad they were AWESOME! Captain America! Nick Fury! DOCTOR STRANGE!!!

3)Fantastic Four
I used to watch this on Boomerang and LOVED it for some reason. Charming 1960's cartoon WITH The Human Torch!

2)Spider-Man & his Amazing Friends
Bar none, the best Marvel cartoon EVER!

1)The 60's Marvel cartoons
These were cartoons that were they took the issues of a comic and just moved an arm or leg. Classic and awesome at the same time. I could watch these for days:

-There you go. I really hope that one day, we'll have both streaming networks for Star Wars and Marvel Comics. I mean, I know I'd pay for both, wouldn't you? Kind of seems like a no-brainer on Disney's part. As for Indiana Jones........well, that's a topic for another time. Another time and another place.

Hot Girl Wednesday starring...Nicole Aniston

For the past 5 years, my eyes have been all over Nicole Aniston. She's one of my faves, and I think it's pretty easy to see why. Among her many credits are Penthouse Pet of the month in August 2012 and she was also names Penthouse Pet of the YEAR in 2013! Take a look at why:

I know, SUPER hot, right? Not that I haven't given you enough to look at here, but there's a ton of other places you can get your fill of Nicole Aniston. She has her one website, which you can find here. And, there are many places to follow her on social media. Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Check them out to check her out!!

What I thought of...Star Wars #5

Star Wars #5: While Boba Fett looks for the pilot who destroyed the Death Star, Han and Princess Leia set out on a mission to find a new secret base for the Rebellion
The Good: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!! This issue is over the top AWESOME!! Writer Jason Aaron manages to make Boba Fett a bad-ass again, after he was de-badassed during the prequels and Clone Wars TV series. THIS is the Boba Fett that we all loved when we were kids, THIS is the Boba Fett that we pretended he was when we played with the toy. This IS Boba Fett! Beyond that, there's still a lot of great stuff here. Han and Leia's back and forth sounds like it's straight from the movies, absolutely perfect, and while it's very minor, Luke has an interesting storyline this issue as well. As always, everything fits together logically within the timeline of the movies, and as a bonus, we get to see some very familiar faces, and John Cassaday's art is gorgeous as always. I'm really going to miss him.
The Bad: This is always hard. Finding something to criticize about a comic that I love so much. I guess, gun to my head, I'd have to say that sometimes there are too many subplots, and you forget who they are. Someone shows up this issue in one panel, and I can't really remember if he's been seen before. I'm 90% sure that he HAS, but now I have to back and read the previous issues. Which, isn't exactly a complaint ,because I love reading and re-reading them. But I have to admit, sometimes it does get a little confusing.
What you should do: This book BETTER be on your pull list and you better be buying it each month regardless of what I say. But, if you technically need me to say it, then I will. "BUY IT!"

F.U.(n) FRIDAYS!!!

-Some Fridays from now on, we're going to take a quick look back at the week and review some of the news and announcements made, and simultaneously, get ready for the weekend! Now, I've recently decided to just be HONEST about everything, so that's why this segment is...
-Fuck you, Jem and the Holograms trailer. There is no holograms and nothing about you that is truly outrageous.
-Fuck you, fall superhero TV schedule for having SO many shows that I want to watch. There literally won't be enough time in the day. On a related note.....
-Fuck you, Hulu Plus. It looks like I'll be subscribing for quite awhile.
-Fuck you, Vince McMahon. Chicago WILL host another Wrestlemania.
-Fuck you cynical, negative, miserable people. You suck. And positivity will always win.

-OK, now that that's out of way, I think it's time to have some fun! I mean, it's Friday right?

What I thought of...Star Wars: Darth Vader #5

Star Wars: Darth Vader #5: Darth Vader is on the hunt for the people that the Emperor has lined up to replace him, since he sees Vader as a failure after the destruction of the Death Star. Vader has an army of modified Battle Droids at his command, and his archaeologist friend (No, not him!) in tow as he goes out to "solve" this little problem.
The Good: Man. Reviewing these Star Wars books just doesn't get any easier. Every time I review one, I want to say that whatever I'm reviewing is the best of the bunch, but they can't ALL be the best.At this point, I'm not even gonna try and rank them. They're all great, but for some reason, this is the one that keeps surprising me the most. It's not like I have low expectations from this book. Maybe it's because I've read SOOOOOOOO many Darth Vader stories and comics over the years, that I don't think I can be surprised anymore, but each month writer Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larroca continue to BLOW ME AWAY!!!! This issue is GREAT, and after your done reading it, you're going to be counting down the days until issue #6 is released!
The Bad: 21 days. That's how long it is until issue #6 (as of this writing). June 3rd can't get here soon enough!

What I thought of...Secret Wars #2

Secret Wars #2: ALL THORS. ALL THE TIME. OK, maybe not all Thors, all the time, but there's a lot of Thors in this issue. A. Lot. The universes have smashed up and we get to see what's left in it's wake, thanks to the story of a young Thor and his "tour" of some of the kingdoms. We see a lot of familiar faces in unfamiliar roles.
The Good: This is, literally, a world building issue. We get the layout of the tarein of the "current" Marvel Universe, I mean WORLD. Who's who and what's what is mostly laid out for us in this issue and writer Jonathon Hickman does a great job of explaining things through the story. Artwise, Esad Ribic turns out another great issue, with some pretty interesting new designs for some of our favorite Marvel characters.
The Bad: Oh my GOD this issue is BORING!!!! I read it laying down and that was a BIG mistake, because I fell asleep twice. The last time I fell asleep reading a comic was.....yeah, that's never happened before.
The Verdict: Grab yourself a Battleworld map and wait for next issue. You're gonna save yourself $5 and about 30 minutes. This felt more like homework than a big company wide crossover. Oh the plus side, it's nice to look at, and there are some stories started that I'm very curious to follow.

Hot Girl Wednesday starring...Kissa Sins!!!
